This is a traditional form of entertainment from the Yabiku region of the Sashiki district which skillfully integrates elements of Okinawa's ancient martial arts. Tinbe refers to a fight between one person with a shield called a tinbe and another with a spear. Kamantii is a fight between a person with a grass sickle and another with a staff. It is performed on July 17th and August 15th of the old lunar calendar and is designated as an intangible cultural asset of Nanjo City.
