Ou Kannondo Temple Ou Kannondo in the heart of Ou Island. This temple housed a golden Kannon statue which was presented to the people of Ou island as thanks for rescuing a shipwrecked Chinese ship in early 1600. However, this is a reconstruction as the original temple and the statue within were destroyed in the war. It now enshrines a ceremic Kannon statue.
