Hatasu is located near the center of Kudaka Island. It is said that in the past wheat was sown when washed upon the island's shores. Hatasu can be found to the west of Ishikibama, near one of the sacred Utaki. The incense placed in the corner of the field would seem to indicate that someone uses this as a holy place to pray to the east. "Yaguruga" (a holy well used by goddesses for purification) can be found near Hatasu. Yaguruga is located in the middle of the island's western coast. It is part of the legend of the Kudaka Island's creation. Gods perform "misogi" purification here, and people pray for a bountiful harvest.
