e Youth Performing Arts Festa takes place every summer. Local youth organizations from the city gather and perform Eisa and other traditional performing arts. The Nanjo City Festival, which takes place once every 4 years, showcases performing arts from each area of the city. In addition, a variety of other events take place in Nanjo City, such as events passed down from long ago like Eisa, Haarii and the Harvest Festival, the Sho Hashi Half Marathon and the Okiden Competition and Debut Concert.
