Shisa enshrined on the roadside in the Chinen district. A "Chinen Shisa." Found on the road to the Chinen castle ruins. They are enrishined to protect against evil spirits and fires. The shisa, with its strikingly compassionate expression, has been designated as a tangible ethnic cultural asset of Nanjo City.
