Shikiya Castle Ruins in the Chinen district. This castle was built between the 16th and 18th century. Fallen stones can be found withing the castle, as well as dense vegetation that has invaded over time. Excavation revealed local ceramics, imported ceramics and porcelain, and armor parts. In 1982, Shikiya Castle Ruins was designated as an historical site by Chinen village (modern Nanjo city).
