Nakandakari Hiijaa in southern Nanjo city's Tamagusuku district. This gushing natural spring is called "Ufuga" by the locals. The path leading to the spring from the settlement is made of stone. It leaves behind a taste of times long past. Nakandakari Hiijaa is the only place in Okinawa that has Goemon baths. These baths, are heated from underneath, and have a floating wooden lid on which the bather sits, causing it to sink. In 1995, it was designated as a cultural asset of national importance.
