Gushiken's Kaa's source of water is the Chinen Ukkaa. A kaa was a place where people would wash clothes, get drinking water, and talk and exchange information with each other. Gushiken's Kaa was built by hand by residents in 1929using awaishi, a type of stone native to the region, andreveals just how important kaa were in the past.
