Chankudoun is located in the thick woods of Tsuhako in the Sashiki district. It is said to be the place where Chan Kunushii,the fourth son of King Hokuzan who was capturedwhen Shou Hashi, the man who formed the Ryukyu Kingdom,went out to subdue Hokuzan. Chankudoun was designated as a historical site in 1982.
